The gallery below details works recently carried out at an office building in Reading.
The cast iron pipework was getting blocked at a 90 degree bend, with no access to properly use rods or the electric eel.
To gain access to the run, a section of pipe was cut into from above and it was soon evident how blocked the line was. After putting a temporary diversion in place as we working on a live line, a section of pipework was cut out allowing access to reach and remove the blockage.
Several items of debris were removed and the pipework thoroughly cleaned.
A new section of pipework with rodding access was installed, making it easier to clear in the future, should the line block again.
